The Adamson Soaring Falcons (1-2) failed to snatch a win from Ateneo Blue Eagles (3-0) to remain unbeaten, 78-47, in the UAAP Season 84 men’s basketball on Thursday, March 31 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Big man Ange Kouame finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds double-double. Alongside Tyler Tio and rookie Christopher Koon, who showed off with nine markers each.

Both teams had a hard time shooting early baskets as they showed tremendous defenses, ending it with a low score of 17-8.

Hopes are made after Adamson made an 11-0 run to end the first half, 36-24.

However, they failed to maintain their momentum, even though Ateneo had three turnovers to start the third quarter.

The Blue Eagles made a 16-0 run to pull away, making a 20-point lead to end the third, 54-34.

Meanwhile, no players made a double-digit score for Adamson as Keith Zaldivar, and Lenda Douanga were only limited to six points each.

The Soaring Falcons missed most of the baskets, delivering only 29.2 percent of field goals.

Ateneo finished the match with a magnificent 31-point lead, 78-47, and a 3-0 record.

The Blue Eagles will face their unbeaten archrival De La Salle Green Archers, while the Soaring Falcons are up to strike against the UST Growling Tigers at 4 PM on April 2.
