The Adamson University Student Government (AUSG) launched this year’s virtual concert, Falcon Fete 2022, with the theme “Levitate: Through Grit and Grace” held via Zoom and Facebook Live, on April 8.

According to Ronal Faduga, AUSG Vice President for Internal Affairs, and the event’s head, this year’s falcon fete aims to build up the spirit of true Adamsonian from within and serves as a way for students to refresh.

“First of all, falcon fete is part of being adamsonian, para bang hindi mo ramdam ang pagiging adamsonian if throughout your years in the university ay di mo na-experience maging part ng activity (It's like you don't feel like being an adamsonian if you don't experience being part of an activity throughout your years in university.),” he said.

Meanwhile, AABC ft. DJ, who won the AdU- Capella, said that it was challenging and overwhelming at the same time as they want their performance to be remarkable before they graduate.

“It feels overwhelming to win, especially when you have invested your time, effort, and self to create a work of art, yet, the goal was to create music, to make an impact, to influence and inspire the audience,” they said.

On the other hand, Mar Manuel, a Physical Education student and the Whatchu Gonn-AdU champion, shared that it is two birds in one stone, for it is both an opportunity and training to enhance his skills and talents.

“My reason for joining the competition is simply to support the AUSG activity at the same time this is where my talents and skills are being highlighted. I'm contributing through support in the AUSG,” he said.

Nevertheless, Faduga shared that the event was a relief and a complete success despite the new setup and other difficulties they faced.

“Siguro there are mixed emotions like kaba, excited, and happy because finally it will happen na. During the event, all of us are focus, may kanya-kanya kaming roles but at the same time chillax pa rin naman,” he said.

(Maybe there are mixed emotions like being nervous, excited, and happy because finally, it will happen. During the event, all of us are focused; we have our own roles but chillax at the same time)

“After the event para kaming nabunutan ng tinik, it was a relief from the team and we’re proud na naitawid namin ng maayos yung event (After the event, we were pulled by a thorn, it was a relief for the team, and we are proud that the event ended well).” he added.

The Falcon Fete 2022 introduced AdU-Capella, an online contest aimed to promote Adamsonians' talents in music. While Whatchu Gonn-AdU encourages Adamsonians to unleash their creativity through cosplay.

During the event, AUSG also filled their event with the performances of their lead performer, singer-songwriter TJ Monterde, as well as the other performers namely, AUDEX dance troupe, UPEEPZ dance team, singer-composer Joshua Ronett, HIMIG of Adamson University, and We Prefer Chinitas indie rock band.

Sarah Gomez and Paolo Binasbas of AUSG hosted the event that took place from 3:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m.
