Carlos Yulo is back in the Philippines trying out the newly established National Gymnastics Center from the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) in Intramuros, Manila, after staying in Japan for a long time.

According to the President of GAP, Cynthia Carrion, Yulo needs to have a break for a while and spend some quality time with his family to loosen up after training so hard in Japan.

After being unsuccessful in floor exercises and ranking fourth in vaults in the Tokyo Olympics 2021, Yulo gained a lot from experience and realized that his biggest opponent is himself, so he and his Coach Munehiro Kugimiya plans to take revenge.

For the upcoming 31st Southeast Asian Games, XIX Asiad, and World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, Yulo stated that he is 85 percent ready to compete.

Meanwhile, Yulo is eyeing a top five result at the Asian Championships on June 15 to 18 in Doha, Qatar, to qualify for the World Championships on Oct. 29 to Nov. 6 in Liverpool, England.
