Falcons secure three spots in AYDC 2022

The three teams of architecture students from Adamson University grabbed three spots in ArchiNEXT: HCG Young Designers Competition (AYDC) held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City, in April.


With the theme "Lulinghayaw: A Localized Sustainable Eco-tourism destination," 151 entries were accepted to proceed to the two screenings; until narrowed down where the Adamson representatives got into the 'Magic 32'.


“Tukad” of Jimwel Loiuse C. Ricafort leads Adamson University to the highest rank in securing the fifth spot with the advice and guidance of Dr. Ramon Bizares and Dr. Manolet Garcia.


The masterpiece of Maximillan S. Wandag, Ryan Cedric A. Fermin, and Lincoln M. Aciente: "Taklobo" wins eighth place.


“Synergy” by Andre Rafael P. Malonzo, Angelica Mae I. Rupido, and Sheena Kyla V. Biaga fetched seventh place.


All the teams who had entered the competition were supervised by Dr. Ruddy Ramilo and Dr. Sylvester Shaun D. Seno.


The local United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary of AdU expressed their joy as they congratulated and gave words of encouragement to the winners in early May.


Meanwhile, Clyde Manuel Amoranto, Frances Serebo, and Ivan Victor Mendoza of Bulacan State University were awarded as the competition's grand champion.


According to HCG, ArchiNEXT is a student competition that challenges the ingenuity and proficiency of young architectural students in designing sound yet sustainable architectural masterpieces.
