Soaring up the navy blue flame: Mylene Paat wins best scorer in Thailand volleyball league

Mylene Paat, a former Adamson Lady Falcon, unleashed her wings and Filipino blood as she fetched the best scorer award in the Women’s Volleyball Thailand League on March 5, tallying 174 points for the first two rounds.


The club team scouted her in Thailand named Nakhonratchasima VC as the opposite spiker to reinforce for the volleyball league to reach the finals.


Paat, together with Cherry Tiggo Crossover player Dindin Santiago-Manabat, played as imports in the Thai team.


Paat is the first Filipina to win an individual award in an international volleyball tournament.


In 2018, she was also proclaimed the best scorer in the Philippine SuperLiga All Filipino Conference.


Paat's teammate, Chitaporn Kamlangmak, attained the Best Middle Blocker award with Diamond Food's Kaewkalaya Kamulthala. Kannika Thipachot of Supreme Chonburi was named Best Outside Hitter, and Malika Kanthong of Diamond Food was proclaimed Best Opposite Spiker.


Meanwhile, her club team settled third after defeating Konkhaen Star last March 6, 25-18, 25-23, 21-25, 25-14.


Paat, alongside Santiago-Manabat, will return to Cherry's to defend its title in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference, starting March 16.
