Collegiate sports fans surely missed cheering and feeling the spirit of their favorite universities.

After two years of waiting, the UAAP Season 84 men’s senior basketball tournament is set to welcome its fans at the Mall of Asia Arena, starting April 5.

Following Alert Level 1 protocols, limited capacity and safety measures will be strictly implemented. Social distancing, wearing masks, and presenting vaccination cards upon entry will be monitored in the venue.

Meanwhile, foods and drinks will only be allowed in designated areas.

As per UAAP Season 84 President Emmanuel Calanog, after consultations about bringing back the live audience, the league’s biosecurity officers, Commission on Higher Education, and the LGUs of Pasay City decided to accept spectators with Alert Level 1 continuing in Metro Manila.

The tickets will go on sale starting April 2 and can be purchased at MOA Arena and SM tickets.

Meanwhile, no patron and ringside tickets will be sold as those sections will serve as bubble areas for the teams.

On April 5, De La Salle University and University of Santo Tomas will raise the curtains for the fans at 10 am, followed by the rivalry between University of the Philippines and Adamson University at 1 pm and Far Eastern University against University of the East at 4 pm.

To wrap up, the defending champion Ateneo de Manila University will take on National University at 7 pm.
